Stratus Surfaces was proud to host the 2026 ASID Missouri West/Kansas Chapter Heartland Design Excellence Awards Gala at our Kansas City slab gallery. The annual event brought together interior designers, industry partners, and members of the local design community for an evening recognizing outstanding work throughout the region.
Our Kansas City showroom provided the backdrop for the celebration, giving guests the opportunity to gather among our collection of natural stone, quartz, and porcelain while honoring this year’s award recipients.
Hosting the Heartland Design Excellence Awards was especially meaningful for our team. Stratus Surfaces works closely with interior designers, architects, builders, and fabricators throughout the Kansas City area, and events like this give us an opportunity to support the design community beyond the day-to-day work that happens in our slab gallery.
Celebrating Samantha Tien
One of the highlights of the evening was seeing our own Samantha Tien receive the Exceptional Volunteer Award.
Samantha’s recognition reflects the time and energy she has dedicated to the local design community and the relationships she has built along the way. We were thrilled to see her recognized by ASID Missouri West/Kansas and proud to celebrate alongside her.
Supporting the Kansas City Design Community
The Heartland Design Excellence Awards recognize the projects and people contributing to design across Kansas and Missouri. We loved seeing so many familiar faces in our Kansas City showroom and having the opportunity to celebrate the work happening throughout our region.
Congratulations to Samantha and all of this year’s award recipients, and thank you to ASID Missouri West/Kansas for bringing the 2026 Heartland Design Excellence Awards Gala to Stratus Surfaces.
Our Kansas City slab gallery serves designers, architects, builders, fabricators, and homeowners throughout the greater Kansas City area, with an extensive selection of natural stone slabs, StratusQuartz® and StratusPorcelain™ available to view in person.
